Live Raptors to be Highlighted During Annual Raptor Days Festival

Hardy Lake Raptor Days is a weekend the highlights Indiana’s native birds of prey and activities at the event help to support the Dwight R Chamberlain Raptor Center at Hardy Lake. This three day event September 28 29, 30 2018 includes live bird of prey programs, osprey/eagle watches onboard pontoon boats, tours of the Raptor Rehab Center, an “All you can Eat” fundraising breakfast, a silent auction, and much more.
This event kicks off on Friday with a “Schools Day” event from 9am until 2pm. This day will include live raptor programs, hikes, crafts, and activities. Students must pre-register for the day. The price per student is $2. Pre-register your students by emailing no later than Friday September 21.
Saturday morning the Friends of Hardy Lake will be serving and “all you can eat” fundraising breakfast from 7-10am. Live raptor programs, bird displays, pontoon tours take place from 9am-4pm.
Tours of the Dwight R Chamberlain Raptor run from 1-4 p.m. Bidding on the Friends of Hardy Lake Silent Auction begins. Free entry to the Park during breakfast hours from 7-10am.
On Sunday, live raptor programs begin at 10am and run until 4pm. Pontoon tours run throughout the day and tours of the raptor center take place from 1-4pm.
A special guest speaker from the Division of Fish and Wildlife will be discussing the Eagle and Osprey re-introduction programs undertaken by the Division.
Winners of the silent auction will be announced at 5pm.
